ABOUT
Surprisingly, I knew from the tender age of 11 that I wanted to be part of a profession where I was able to help and take care of people. Knowing this led to a career in dentistry spanning nearly 19 years, as a qualified dental nurse, head nurse and practice manager. Being part of a team, treating and helping numerous people was a privilege.
My first dip into the complementary therapies pool was some years ago, when suffering a problematic back, I was referred by my G.P. for aromatherapy massage and acupuncture, which was a revelation, the whole experience was gentle, enjoyable and skilful. It also showed me that orthodox and complementary therapy can indeed work side by side.
To continue my quest in caring for people, I wanted to find a therapy that was gentle, non invasive, relaxing and holistic. Reflexology ticked all the boxes.
I studied the Tanner method of reflexology at Morley College, under the experienced tutorage of Julia Wood. I also studied for a diploma in Anatomy and Physiology, which goes hand in hand with reflexology.
I really hope that you enjoy reflexology as much as I do.
